Barrington Area Council of Governments (BACOG) Annual Private Well Water Testing

October 28 – November 1, 2019

BACOG encourages households with private wells to test for bacteria and nitrates annually. Bacteria and nitrates can result from animal or human waste from fertilizer components reaching well water and can cause illness in humans.

Eligibility to participate is limited to BACOG area resident only. Residents of the Villages of Barrington, Barrington Hills, Lake Barrington, North Barrington, South Barrington, Tower Lakes and unincorporated areas of Barrington and Cuba Townships may participate.

Purchase a test kit at Cuba Township for $15.00 (cash or check only).  Kits can also be purchased at local villages within the township.

Drop off water samples between 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Garlands of Barrington, Performing Arts Center, 1000 Garland Lane.
